Some pets need extra monitoring and supportive care. We provide attentive hospital care to help them recover as comfortably as possible.

Valley Vets Latrobe - Pet Hospitalisation

Sometimes pets need a little extra care, monitoring, and time to recover — and that’s where hospitalisation comes in. Whether it’s after surgery or due to illness, we provide a safe, calm environment where your pet can rest, recover, and be closely looked after.

Our focus is on comfort as well as care. We make sure your pet has a warm, quiet space to settle in, with plenty of attention and gentle handling to help reduce stress. No one likes being away from home, so we do everything we can to make their stay as relaxed as possible (with a few extra pats along the way).

Hospitalisation is often recommended after surgery, when pets need monitoring as they wake up from anaesthesia, pain relief, or support while they get back on their feet. It can also be important for pets who are unwell and need fluids, medications, or ongoing observation to make sure they’re heading in the right direction.

We keep a close eye on your pet throughout their stay, regularly checking their condition and adjusting care as needed. You’ll also be kept in the loop, so you know how they’re going and when they’ll be ready to head home.

At our Morwell clinic, we’ll have expanded hospital facilities to provide even more comprehensive care, particularly for pets needing longer stays or more intensive support.

It’s never easy leaving your pet in someone else’s care, but you can feel confident they’re in safe hands – with a team that treats them like one of their own.
